A Second New Flyover in Mira Road, which Saves Traveling time was initiated by DY CM Shinde.
Opening of a new Flyover in Mira Road by Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. The Flyover starts from Sai Baba Nagar Metro Station near S.K. Stone Junction to Shivar Garden by A Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA). This flyover became beneficial for people who travel daily from Sai Baba Nagar Metro Station to Shivar Garden. This flyover is made up of a Flyover that connects Dahisar East to Mira Bhyandar.
The Flyover is also called “Double-Decker” as it is built on the earlier flyover. The purpose of building this flyover will be to reduce the major traffic in areas such as SK Stone Junction, Kanakia Junction, and Shivar Garden Junction which also makes traveling faster. MMRDA informs that the New Double-Decker Flyover in Mira Road is 17 meters wide in which there are 2+2 lanes for smooth travelling. However, it takes safety measures like RCC anti-crash barriers, reflective signage, lane markings and also speed Limit indicators for the safety of the people. Metropolitan commissioner Dr.Sanjay Mukherjee said,” With the metro operations set to begin soon on the second Deck, Mira Bhyandar will be witnessing a complete transformation in urban transport”.

A New Second Flyover in Mira Road:About the Outstanding Features of a Flyover in Mira Bhyandar.
Remarkable infrastructure in the Mira Road Flyover was recently integrated by Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. The IAS Rubal Agarwal who is the chairman of Maha Metro and MBMC commissioner Radhabinod Sharma were also present during the inauguration. To say about the Flyover, is built on a shared pier structure, flyover and Metro Line 9 are on the same pillar, which makes it different from others and blends metro and road infrastructure. Keeping in mind Road Safety majors like RCC anti-crash barriers, lane marking, reflective signage, and also the speed limit indicators consistent navigation in place, the road is 17 meters wide providing 2+2 lanes for smooth driving without any traffic on the way. The Flyover crosses major traffic areas such as SK Stone Junction, Kanakia Junction, and Shivar Garden Junction.
“This Double-Decker Flyover is a testament to our commitment to building world-class infrastructure that enhances mobility and fosters economic growth. By integrating metro and road transport on the same pillars, we are optimizing space, reducing congestion, and making travel more efficient,” said Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
