India coach Rahul Dravid opposes any disciplinary issue in the absence of Ishan Kishan in the T20I Indian cricket team vs Afghanistan. On Wednesday 10 January, Rahul Dravid said that the left-hander will be soon back into the national fold once he is available for selection. Ishan Kishan was not available for selection. In South Africa, he had requested a break, which we agreed to.
However, Ishan had just played only two ODIs and Three T20Is between October 2023 and January 2024 where India played 8 T20Is and 14 ODIs. Was this the main reason for not selecting him for the T20I series against Afghanistan?
“Not available” Was it because he was mentally fatigued?
If yes, mental fatigue is real, and Ishan is not the first player facing this. Virat Kohli the ex-captain of the Indian cricket team and a very popular cricketer with a reputation image also faced mental fatigue last year. And if mental fatigue is a reason for Ishan Krishan not being available for selection then why was he training with Pandya in Vadodara? Was his mental fatigue just for a fake intensity? There are many and never-ending questions. Only BCCI or Ishan Krishan himself can clear them all. Isha Kishan is yet to make himself available, when he will be available he will play domestic cricket. But what if others who will in his place perform better than him on the field? There is also one big question Will Ishan even play in the “Ranji Trophy”?
