In Delhi, the Economically Weaker Section category and Disadvantages group category are getting benefits for their education from the Directorate of Education for the coming year 2025-26. In India, the Government brought up the Social and Educational advantages of the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and Disadvantages Group (DG) for students who come under the SC, ST, or OBC, category, with lower earning income in their family. The EWS and DG admission for the seat is in the lottery system. The results of EWS 2025-2026 are out in Delhi.
The Directorate of Education came up with a scheme for the lower caste students and for the families having lower income. As the admission is done by a lottery system, the first lottery was conduct on 5th March 2025 in the Directorate of Education of Delhi, conference room, at the Old Secretariat.

Candidates should follow the steps given carefully to check the Delhi EWS/DG Admission Results of 2025-2026.
Step 1: Go to the official website of the Delhi Directorate of Education: www.edudel.nic.in.
Step 2: Click on the link that says ‘EWS/DG Admission Result 2025-26’.
Step 3: Enter your application number and the child’s date of birth.
Step 4: Click on ‘Submit’ to see the result.
Step 5: The screen will show whether the child is selected and the allotted school.
Step 6: Download and print the result for future use.
After the Admission Process, the Candidate’s next step is to submit Documents like Income Proof, Address Proof, and Birth Certificate immediately after completing the process. The seats may get unreserved if the process is not completed in the given period.

Once the result is out the parents can check the results on the Directorate of Education Delhi’s official website, edudel.nic.in. Educational Minister Ashish Sood said that the process will be Transparent and will be visible to the candidate’s parents, cleared by the news agency PTI.
The results of 2025-2026 were released on 5 March 2025, at 2:30 pm by computerized draw of lots. Around 2.5 lakh students had enrolled for the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and Disadvantages Group (DG) category and 38,000 candidates by the draw of lots. The Educational Minister of Delhi, Ashish Sood also mentioned that the EWS category’s income will be raised to ₹5 lakh.
Why computerized draw of lots was performed this year?
The DOE of Delhi conducted the computerized draw of lots for the students to get equal fairness in education. This EWS/DG category scheme of computerized draw of lots is for candidates from lower castes like SC, ST, or OBC, who find difficulties in getting admission to Delhi EWS/DG. According to the Right to Education (RTE) Act, private unaided schools reserve 25% of seats for the students in EWS/DG categories. Because of this type of scheme, needed candidates can get equality in getting the admission easily.
