PM Narendra Modi also thanked the government of Japan for recalling the late Japanese PM and said that they both committed to completing the Mumbai Trans Harbour Link project.

Narendra Modi stated “Our intention is clean and commitment is for country’s improvement and evolution. The Prime Minister also added that the previous government planned to do vote bank politics and to fill up their trunks. Their dedication was toward their family not to the country.

While the project was initially created in the 1960s, and the first tender was floated in 2006, it was reworked several times and undertaken several unsuccessful project biddings. It was also caught in a sarcastic business dispute before work finally commenced in 2018, largely because of the Japan International Cooperation Agency, which primarily funded the project.
