Maha Kumbh 2025: It is finding difficult to manage the traffic. The Madhya Pradesh police and some neighboring police stations stop the vehicles on the way to Prayagraj. The jam stretches 300 KM to the Maha Kumbh Mela area. The Madhya Pradesh police said it is difficult to reach Prayagraj as the traffic jams up to 200 km – 300 km.
The Inspector General of Police Saket Prakash Pandey said that the situation is for some days and the vehicles are only allowed to coordinate the Prayagraj Kumbh Mela.
According to the man who was stuck in the traffic jam, “The vehicles are stuck for 48 hours and it is taken 10-12 hours to cover 50 km. The Prayagraj Sangham Railway Station also stopped providing services to avoid inconvenient incidents. The Railway officer Kuldeep Tiwari said that the passengers were facing problems coming out from the railway station. So it was decided to close the railway services due to the crowd of devotees.
As the Traffic Deputy Commissioner of Police Kuldeep Singh said the devotees trying to reach the Kumbh Mela area as close as possible. The reason for the jam was the number of vehicles was so high and the crowd of devotees was also high.
A jam of up to 25 km was reported the routes to Prayagraj from Varanasi, Lucknow and Kanpur witnessed long traffic jams inside and outside the Maha Kumbh Mela.
