MLA from Shalimar Bhag, Rekha Gupta takes oath as a Chief Minister (CM) of Delhi for the first time; Pravesh Verma, Kapil Mishra, and the rest four BJP MLAs.
Rekha Gupta was elected as CM who was a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA from Shalimar Bagh. She is an Indian politician who served and is now the 9th chief minister of Delhi. She is the fourth woman as chief minister of Delhi on Thursday. The oath ceremony was at the Ramila Ground in Mega Event. After 27 years this party forms the government, by securing the 48 seats in the 70-member legislative assembly.
The ninth Chief Minister of Delhi, Rekha Gupta took the oath in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President J.P.Nadda, and Chief Minister and Deputy CMs of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). Oath was also taken by more 6 members as a minister were BJP MLAs Pravesh Verma, Ashish Sood, Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Raviraj Indraj Singh, Kapil Mishra, and Pankaj Kumar Singh.

PM Narendra Modi spoke about the latest Chief Minister that, ‘‘she has risen from the grassroots as an active politician, state organization, municipal administration, and now MLA as well as Chief Minister’’ and adding on he also mentioned that, ‘‘I am confident enough of her work and she will work for the city’s development with full enthusiasm in her. My best wishes to her for a fruitful tenure’’.
Women of Delhi are provided financial help by the Latest CM Rekha Gupta.
As per the Election Commission data, women votes were up to 60.92% and 60.21% of men. As compared to both the data BJP promised the ‘Matru Suraksha Vandana’ scheme providing all pregnant women nutrition kits an amount of Rs 21,000 and also a monthly cash transfer of Rs 2,500 for the women listed in ‘Mahila Samriddhi Yojana’. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta ensures to the women of Delhi that her government will look after the promise she has made of fulfilling the monthly assistance of Rs 2,500 to them. And also she said that the AAP will be accountable for its actions. As per the promise, the first half amount of the monthly help will be credited to the capable women’s account by 8th March 2025.
