Mumbai2025: Heatwave alert in Mumbai, temperature is rising to 37 degrees Celcius.

This Time Mumbai is under melting conditions because of an extreme heat wave alert. Climate experts have warned that the 2025 summer will be hotter than 2024. According, to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) today’s temperature is 37 degrees Celsius in Mumbai, with 49% of humidity and it is said that in the coming days, more heat waves are predicted. As per IMD observation, the heat wave in the coming days could be very high, after two days the temperature may go down. The maximum temperature could be around 36/37 degrees Celsius, with a minimum of around 23/27degree Celsius. The High Heat Wave Alert is warning also for the Palghar, Thane, Raigad, and Ratnagiri districts. The temperature falling in these coming days will be

Due to this type of heat, people are facing heat illnesses such as Heat cramps, Heatstroke, Heat exhaustion, fainting, Heat rash, dizziness, vomiting, heavy sweating, and heat stress. To avoid such illnesses people are informed to reduce outdoor work between 12 noon to 3 pm, as the temperature goes high in this period. The public health department made an effort to mitigate heat-related illnesses. This heat can bring many diseases and health issues because of the high temperature. High heat temperatures can be risky for people and children who take a long period to get settled in this environment. Pregnant women, new mothers, outdoor workers, farmers, laborers, and street vendors also need to be taken care of while working in this heat.

Tips to Beat the Heat.

Need to do.

•Drink sufficient water or hydrated fruit drinks- even if not thirsty.
•Wear breadthable lightweight, light-coloured, loose, cotton clothes.
•If outside, cover your head: use a cloth, hat, or umbrella.
•Keep your pets under shade in cold places.
•Use fans, coolers, etc to keep the house cold.

Avoid in summer.

•Avoid going out in the sun, especially between 12 noon and 3 pm.
•Avoid strenuous activities when outside in the sun.
•Do not leave children or pets alone in parked vehicles.
•Avoid cooking during peak hours and keep the cooking area adequately ventilated.
•Avoid alcohol, tea, coffee and carbonated soft drinks
•Avoid high-protein food and stale food.

The Mumbai AQI.

The Air Quality (AQI) in Mumbai is 500.0 falling in the Hazardous category. People are said to be cautious and to avoid outdoor works between 12 noon to 3 pm because of the high temperature this year. Due to this high temperature usage breathable masks and air purifying devices are highly recommended to use. AQI helps a lot to take care of our health by informing us of the quality of the air and the better environment for us.
