Tata Steel’s Kalinganagar: Shattered at the melting shop.

Tata Steel‘s Kalinganagar plant is located in Odisha’s Jaipur district. On Friday, at 11:30 a.m., the steel melting shop shattering exploded, injuring nine workers, police said. The company assured the workers of their well-being and informed them that they were out of danger.

Jamshedpur: At Tata Steel’s Kalinganagar plant on Friday around 11:30 a.m., a shatter at the steel melting shop took place. The blast took place in steel melting shop, nine employees were left with burn injuries. The nearby police and the authorities of Tata Steel were informed immediately after the incident took place.

”After the incident took place the nine injured people were admitted in Tata Medica Hospital and the treatment was started immediately, after first aid one of them was discharged”, says the company release.
Tata Steel major confirmed that ” The medical team had attended these nine injured and were out of danger. We promise to provide them the best treatment, best care and are making all necessary efforts to ensure their well-being “.

The company informs that the incident is being handover to the concerned authorities, and for safety precautions, the place of the incident is barricaded, also internal investigations are going on and the family of the nine injured people has also been informed.
The company emphasizes that “As a responsible corporate, the safety and the well-being of the employees and stakeholders remain our top priority”. The company is taking full responsibility for the employees and the investigation is underway.
